Karen McCarter
Legal Assistant
Karen McCarter, or “Miss Karen” (as many of our clients call her), worked in the administrative/secretarial field for approximately 12 years before she joined the legal field. She then worked as a deputy in the Lancaster County Clerk of Courts for eight years before becoming a legal assistant at Goldberg & Beyer for 24 (!) years. When Goldberg & Beyer closed its doors at the end of 2021, Karen joined Szilagyi Law LLC.
Karen was born and raised in Parkesburg, Pennsylvania and has been living in Lititz, PA for the last 15 years. She is a mother of two (Steven and Jennifer), and a grandmother to two (Sarah and Kira-Marie). Spending time with her family and friends is what she enjoys most, but she also loves walking, going to the beach, gardening, and taking cruises around the world.
Karen is the backbone of our firm and keeps the attorneys’ heads on straight. If you’ve ever seen her in action, you understand.
